In the last update I mentioned I’d settled into my new RL job and my boss had headed off overseas, leaving me holding down the fort.
The fort, as it turns out, is a busy place.
As a result I’ve had little time to continue Freezo Run until now. That seems to be changing now and I should have a chance to get back into gamedev in the evenings.
Dragon Friends
Those of you following along at home will remember that Freezo Run is actually a tribute to The Dragon Friends – a live comedy show, podcast and now Twitch program.
I’m stoked to have had the chance to see the live show this week in Sydney. I had to go down for work and through a stunning bit of serendipity, happened to be in town for the recording of episodes 3.11 and 3.12.
I can’t rave enough about how good the show is live. Even having been a fan of the podcast since episode 1, the live show is on a different level. The cast are all genuinely nice and funny people, and I managed to get all except Ben and Tom (through bad timing on my part) to autograph my book which they did with genuine enthusiasm. I even chatted to Benny for a while which, having been a fan of the Axis of Awesome for years, was a bit surreal.
Definitely going back, and with fortnightly Sydney trips on the schedule between now and the end of the year, I’ll be along every chance I get.
